Site News December 15, 2011 Wow, can't believe 2011 is almost over! Just fixing some links today for sites no longer on the web. July 22, 2011 Haven't done a thing to this site since February. The first half of this year was full of all kinds of happenings, wasn't it? I still need to get acquainted with SiteBuilder LPX. It looks like some of the tips on this site are obsolete with this version of SiteBuilder, which is good news. While we were hobbled with things we couldn't do with SB Classic, SB LPX allows you to do more. As I am a webmaster of three other websites, one more important than this and the other two sites, I will be slowly updating info on the Rambling Tutor as well as updating the look and feel of this site. It's something that's been on the agenda for a long time. |
Welcome Homestead Webmasters! This is an unofficial website for an alternate source of information and help with using Homestead's SiteBuilder Classic. There are tips and tutorials for using SiteBuilder and tips from other present and former members of Homestead. There is also a directory of useful webmaster resources. For those of you interested in using JavaScript, DHTML, or Java Applets, there are selected, usable demos of those scripts and applets that will work with SiteBuilder, although sometimes with a workaround solution. With applets in particular and because I may like an applet so much, I show you how to put it on a non-SiteBuilder-built page. The instructions in this web site assumes you have already opened and played with the elements in SiteBuilder to make at least one page. Most of the pages on this website were created originally with Microsoft FrontPage 2000 and edited with Namo Web Editor 5 and 6. However, everything has been tested with a SiteBuilder page either previously or with my current Charter account at Homestead. If you're here from doing a search on Google or other search engines and are not a member of Homestead but looking for help on using a JavaScript or Java applet, you may find some information here that may help you. I always note the source of a script or applet so you can go to that page or website to grab whatever you need or to find more specific information that may be related to what you're looking for. I'm always happy to help all of my visitors when I can. Have fun building your website! ~ Janet |
