Waterpic by Durius >>> This applet is used with an image of your choice to create a watery effect on top of it. I used a photo by Kevin Connors that I got from his website, morguefile.com, for this demo. I think an image like this makes logical sense, but there's no hard-and-fast rule that says you can't use a photo of someone's face like in his own demo page included in the zip file. You can find the download at durius.com, 1archive.com or JavaBoutique. The following files from the zip file need to be uploaded to your site's File Manager:
If your compression utility only unpacked the DuriusWaterPic.jar file and the DuriusWaterPic.cab file from the zip, disregard the previous sentence and upload the two files. When you publish your page be sure to upload your image, too. As with all applets on this site, make the codebase="files/" adjustment in the code (in red) on your Sitebuilder page. If you're not a Homestead Sitebuilder user, you can ignore that adjustment unless your non-page files are in a different folder or directory. So, remember to put all of the files in the same directory including the html page and the image used, if you're not a Sitebuilder user. |
Run your browser's pointer through the image below! |
You will need to change the width and height of the applet, depending on the size of your image, on the first line. Change the image name on the second line. You can change the other parameters except the URL to durius.com and the REG value. Keeping those values unchanged keeps this applet free. All of the parameters are explained well at JavaBoutique and 1archive.com. If you download the zip file from durius.com, you'll get every applet offered plus everything you'll need to get your applet up and running including an index.html file that describes the parameters for each applet. His site probably has the most recent version of the files, so it should be your first go-to site. |
