In 2001, we could count on Adobe offering some wonderful, free online services. Apparently it wasn't producing any monetary gains as a result, so they pulled the plug on them earlier in 2002. So now all we can offer here are just two resources. The services are free but limited. You can always use MS Paint, no? If you'd like to see a list of some image editing software, both free and shareware, visit my resources page at my graphics site. You'd need to scroll down to around mid-page.

Online Image Editors

  • FotoFlexer - JPG photos only.
  • LunaPic - many image formats available to edit.
  • MyImager - GIF and JPG up to 200KB; edit, add text, add effects, optimize.
  • Online Image Editor - many formats accepted including animated GIFs; can do format conversions, too.
  • Online Image and Photo Editor - from Wire Planet.
  • Phoenix Image Editor - from Aviary.
  • PhotoShop Express Editor - free but registration required to use this tool.
  • Picnik.com - No sign-up required to get access to their basic online image editing tools, made primarily for photos or .jpg images. You can upload images from your computer or from your Facebook, Flickr, Photobucket, Picasa or Webshots account. There are about 16 fonts available to use for free. If you want to use your system fonts, you need to upgrade which is $24.95 per year.
  • Splashup - allows multiple image editing.
  • Sumo Paint - image editor and paint program all online; upgrade available.
