| Create Screenshots with MS Paint >>> |
These simple instructions will be for MS Paint but you can use any paint program you wish. Say you get an error message on a page and you want to grab it to send to HS Support as backup to your email, do this: 1) Press the Alt and Print Scrn keys at the same time. That action copies whatever is on the screen including your browser's toolbar, unless there's a popup window. Then the popup window gets captured. Close any popup you don't want copied. 2) To open MS Paint, click on Start --> Programs --> Accessories --> Paint. 3) Press the Ctrl and V keys at the same time. That action pastes the screenshot into Paint. If your screenshot is smaller than the whiteboard you see, make the whiteboard smaller to fit by moving the cursor to the edge of the whiteboard until you get the double-arrow and move the edges. 4) Now use Save As to save the screenshot and name it. You can save as a bitmap (.bmp) image or change it to .gif or .jpg. That's all there is to it. |
